Just in time for spring, we’re highlighting four looks that are perfect for wasting a sunny afternoon in.
At Studio McGee we look forward to the summer season for a plethora of reasons, but one of our favorites is the way it invites you to curl up in a cozy corner with a good book. Regardless of the square footage or layout of your home, there’s likely a corner that you can turn into a cozy nook. Here, a few nook looks to get you inspired.

The Sunroom Office
If work has to be done, at least you can do it in sunshine. We’re loving this sweet office nook tucked into the side of a sunroom. If you live in colder climates, and sunrooms are only usable certain months out of the year, think of moving a small desk in for the summer so you can pay bills, work on homework, or catch up on some letter writing in warmth.

The Bedroom Lounge
It is quite a luxury to have a bedroom large enough to carve out a sitting area in. If you’re one of the lucky ones, think about making an underutilized corner in your bedroom a quiet place to retreat to that doesn’t involve getting into the bed. We love this simple chaise lounge in a beautiful, earthy velvet.

The Corner Chair
Don’t forget about your own living room. It may seem like an obvious choice but situating your living room furniture so that there’s a chair slightly secluded in the corner is a good way to carve out a reading nook. Pillows and throw blankets make it extra cozy.
